Now this is a recipe that I learnt first in my baking Journey. And my first and every other attempt afterwards has been an instant success.
Made by using just one bowl, this brownie recipe is super simple, quick and sinfully chocolatey.
Moist and gooey with a crispy thin layer atop, this is pure indulgence.
Here's how these are made.
Ingredients:
140 grams semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup or 113 grams unsalted butter at room temperature cut into pieces
2 tablespoons or 15 grams of cocoa powder
1 cup or 200 grams of granulated white sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 large eggs at room temperature
3/4 cup or 95 grams all-purpose flour also known as plain flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
75 gms extra chocolate chips to be added in the end. (Optional)
75 gms walnuts to be added in the end. (Optional)
Method:
Preheat the oven to 175°C place the wire rack in the center of the oven.
Butter or spray with a non-stick cooking spray on an 8x8 inch square pan or a brownie pan.
Melt the chocolate and butter in a large mixing bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water.
Remove from heat and stir in the cocoa powder and sugar
Add in the vanilla extract and whisk
Now add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
By now the batter becomes thick and a little difficult to whisk by hand. Using a whisk, continue to mix well.
Sift in the flour and the salt and combine together.
Now add the extra chocolate chips and walnuts if using.
Pour the brownie mix into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out a little sticky and moist.
Do not over bake. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.
Serve at room temperature.
You could also put them in the refrigerator and serve chilled.
Enjoy!!
This is a killer....
